A place where Ancient Ancient armies can peacefully retire to...
Possibly.
Oh, and some pulp. A few things on 6mm SciFi tanks and stuff. And the toy soldiers. Especially the War of 1897... And now I seem to be starting on 20mm Napoleonics as well!

Windows 10
Is now loading up on my backup laptop. Didn't seem like a good idea to jump in feet first, thought I'd try it first.
Also, must watch out for the 'issues' reported in TMP in this article.
I look forward to hearing how that goes. I've an old clunker of a laptop with Win 7 and admit to being a bit leery. But heck, google knows all my secrets, why should I shut MS out?
It's fine so far. I went for custom setup and then disabled all the 'send info to Microsoft' options. The machine it's on is the one I'm typing this on - an 8 year old Eeec PC netbook that was recently running XP. I had upgraded it to 2mb of RAM a few years ago and recently bought a cheapo Windows 7 disc and licence on ebay just for the free upgrade option. Windows 10 may have added an extra year or two to it's life - seems OK.
An update. One issue with Windows 10 is that is slows durng sessions. This is due to a fault in the system - sorry, a feature. It's called Runtime Broker, it's supposed to be some sort of memory manager, it's broken. Or just doesn't work. So every session, open Task Manager (control/alt/delete then click on Task Manager), scroll down to Runtime Broker and click 'end task'. Every now and then you have to repeat this during a session, so when it's done just minimise Task Manager rather than close it.
