About Us

Garrison Miniatures pioneered the production of 25mm wargaming miniature figures when sculptor John Braithwaite first unveiled his range of new miniatures in 1966. Since the 1980's Garrison has passed through various owners (Greenwood & Ball, SKT, Paisley Miniatures, Amazon Miniatures). Some of this history is given in the History section, although there are a couple of inaccuracies - I gather from his daughter, Cath Miller, that in fact John was originally from London and died of a heart attack in 1992. My own 'connection' with Garrison goes back to 1970 when I used to buy my figures at the Northern Garrison. We also stock a small range of Rose wargames figures, two of which appear in the Autumn 1956 Rose catalogue and may be the earliest 'wargames' figures ever produced in the UK (or the world!) Figures are now cast to order, and we hope to send the vast majority of orders out within 28 days of receiving them. However, during school holidays as well as for some of the ranges this time may be increased. If an order is liable to take more than 30 days to complete for whatever reason, then a customer will be notified of this at the earliest opportunity and given the option to cancel.
We have a winter break every year and no orders will be accepted for casting in December, January or February. Also, please note we DO NOT send an acknowledgement when an order has been made unless requested on the order form. Any queries or problems please use one of the email addresses below. As Garrison figures are cast to order, customers do not have the right to a 7 day 'cooling off' period to 'inspect' goods sent. However, we would generally voluntarily honour a cooling off period in most cases. Should a customer choose to return goods then a full refund will be given (including postage) on condition that the goods are returned at the expense of the customer. This last condition is part of the 'terms and conditions of sale' as per DSR Regulations. We must be notified within 7 days, either by email or by post. Rob Young Garrison Miniatures

    1. My current situation is that I am happy to supply figures as long as my health holds out. Australia not a problem for delivery - just the US and EU that are too much hassle! However, postage is expensive! Getting near Christmas so I would suggest waiting until the New Year though. Way I work it, you send me an email (address at top of my blog!) saying what you want, I make them and send a Paypal request when they are ready.
