20mm Rose '1897' Generals

In reality, Rose 'Duke of Wellington' figure. Not sure when these were originally designed, but they appear in the 1958 Rose catalogue! They make decent late fictional late Victorian senior officers of doubtful accuracy!

For some reason bridles rarely cast well on this figure - so on all of these the bridles are made of green stuff!

Although I call the early Garrison figures 29mm, in fact this is purely to distinguish them from the large 25mm figures. This comparison between a '20mm' Garrison general and the Rose version shows this quite well...

Generic generals

Already had a couple of generic generals in blue coats, thought I'd finish the ones in red!

I don't usually paint eyes on these, but the facial definition was so poor I felt I had to do something!

I'll use these as generic generals for all the Garrison 20mm Napoleonics and Colonials  and later 25mm Colonials. For Rose 20mm figures I'll use Wellington!

I should probably go through the Garrison 25mm listings to see if there is a 25mm senior officer figure I can use, just not yet.

A couple of French generals

During my last Napoleonic bout I had started painting a few mounted generals/officers. While working on the Bavarians I thought I'd finish a couple of them...

It's one of the horde of figures I can't find in my catalogues.

I don't have a specific horse for these so have just used one that looks reasonable! These will usually act as generic French generals. Or Prussian.

Very much a basic paintjob!
