A place where Ancient Ancient armies can peacefully retire to...
Possibly.
Oh, and some pulp. A few things on 6mm SciFi tanks and stuff. And the toy soldiers. Especially the War of 1897... And now I seem to be starting on 20mm Napoleonics as well!

DBA II/56 - First of the Romans
Already had 3 of the figures painted, quickly painted up an officer and now have an infantry general for the army.
The officer is actually a Praetorian Centurion - I might touch up the back of his legs - whereas the legionary pose is quite a common one used by a number of manufacturers - quite similar to the Aiirfix or Hinchliffe types for instance. Quite happy to think of pila as pointy sticks myself. Let's face it, if they weren't pointy they wouldn't be very useful.
I enjoy your site. They look good. I have a bag of 25mm minifigs plus others and in there was 2 Romans identical to your legionary figure minus the cloak but the shield is identical. I thought they may be garrison. I compared them to hinchcliffe but not the same. I was excited when I found them in the bag among the other old 25mm's. Andrew. Andrewpaulhardy1968@gmail.com
These are very reminiscent of the large 25mm versions. I rather like them. I also don't consider Pila to be pointy sticks........
