Fantasy? Just because the Persians didn't use them on the Greek frontier doesn't mean they didn't use a few on their Indian frontier, I mean how much detail do we really know about any of the stuff the greeks didn't write and how much can we trust what they did write? Also, it would seem that these days, not all Sassinids wore bubble hats so they could be Sassinid.
ReplyDeleteBesides that archer is one of my favourite Garrisin figures as is the elephant and this is a most enjoyable piece!
Think the Sassanids are OK for elephants with the 8 they've already got - actually 9 because there's a Minifigs one as well - and I'm guessing any elephants like the ones supposedly at Gaugamela would be Indian ones with crew astride rather than in a howdah...
