A place where Ancient Ancient armies can peacefully retire to... Possibly. Oh, and some pulp. A few things on 6mm SciFi tanks and stuff. And the toy soldiers. Especially the War of 1897... And now I seem to be starting on 20mm Napoleonics as well! email GarrisonMiniatures@gmail.com
Rob, how much do you use the different colours for parts of the figure and how much do you paint?
ReplyDeleteThe polymer is 24 x 57g items, all a different colour. With the best will in the world leaving them unpainted isn't a viable option so they are all painted.
DeleteInteresting, the work on the Amazon looks really good, could be a boon for modifying figures as well as sculpting your own.
ReplyDeleteHopefully...
DeleteThose Yith look suitably Cthuloid! I've never seen that brand of clay before - but I do prefer polymer clay over green stuff because it's less elastic - if that's the right word. It doesn't 'slump' as much. Sculpey is the one I've mostly used - but Fymo is good - some folk swear by Beesputty. Wire frames - suggest you get some some jewellery makers wire - easy to find - fine for armatures. Get's those tentacles wriggling.
ReplyDeleteStill experimenting - for frames I'll try white metal spears as starter, but there's a load useable things lying around. Basically playtime - I'm out to try anything! Likewise, cheap clay, about a third the price of Fymo, this lot was under a tenner for aboy 580g - if things work out I might go for more expensive materials.
DeleteOff to a good start indeed!
ReplyDeleteIt's looking promising.
