My normal cavalry squadron is 12 figures. For this lot, I went for 18 figures so that it covered 6 bases. |
For shield blazons I've continued the animal theme, in this case by using a stag. |
The armour is just paint. It works really well. |
A place where Ancient Ancient armies can peacefully retire to... Possibly. Oh, and some pulp. A few things on 6mm SciFi tanks and stuff. And the toy soldiers. Especially the War of 1897... And now I seem to be starting on 20mm Napoleonics as well! email GarrisonMiniatures@gmail.com

Superb looking unit, the paint job armour is very effective, works well and the command figures look great and tie in very well.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteThey look splendid - amazing how a little paint can transform a figure isn't it!
ReplyDeleteIt does. As well as increasing the number of possible uses for that figure.
DeleteVery cool! Lovely and bright, amazing how effective the painted on armour is.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is. Didn't even have to add card shoulder pieces!
DeleteThat works really well Rob…
ReplyDeleteI think we used to call it a ‘ Paint Conversion’ back in the day…
All the best. Aly
As I recall some earlymanufacturers didn't include some details such as belts on the grounds that the paint would be roughly the same asthe scale thickness of the detail. Works for me.
DeleteThey look really good Rob. Nearly finished the latest batch of Amazonians I bought recently, they look great. The Amazon/ pegasus are really nice. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure.
