A place where Ancient Ancient armies can peacefully retire to...
Possibly.
Oh, and some pulp. A few things on 6mm SciFi tanks and stuff. And the toy soldiers. Especially the War of 1897... And now I seem to be starting on 20mm Napoleonics as well!

1897 An Ebay update
Got the first few of the Ebay figures stripped and painted. Didn't come out too bad really - rifles poor and the overall castings are not up to professional spincast standards but they'll do.
Not really old, just secondhand - as Ross correctly identified they are homecast Zinnbrigade figures - the moulds are still being sold from https://www.zinnfigur.com/en/Casting/Moulds/Schildkroet-oxid/
They look very smart to me. Nice to see old figures brought back to life.

ReplyDeleteFine fellows ready to fight forthwith!

Hoping they'll all see action soon - campaign season approaching.
DeleteI had trouble getting good castings of the rifles on these as well, not hard to get rifles, just hard to get the finer details.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, they look good painted up!
Yes, they are suitable for their purpose.
