GAC1 Cavalryman with spear and shield and cloak unarmoured

GAC1 Cavalry figure with a GA1 Mounted general/officer/noble in command and converted standard bearer.

At some stage I'll do another of these units, possibly including some figures converted to swordsmen.

Not often that I go for a back view, but the use of paint pens makes a big difference on how I do cloaks (and shields!)

I would expect to do at least one other unit based on this figure, possibly including some sword wielding conversions. This figure also makes a good infantry conversion, again probably including swordsmen conversions.

  1. Nice figure and they make for a cracking unit. Those paint pens really do the job, the cloaks have turned out really well, very nice work.

    1. Thank you. They are useful with reservations - can't get into tight spaces, paint flow sometimes erratic and they can dry out. One nice thing about them though is that you can get nib replacements!

  2. Another very colourful unit! What make of pens are you using?

    1. Just generic Chinese - got a few cheap sets, companies such as Nicety, Draw Ease and Stylo. Best ones seemto be a set of ten from Draw Ease. See https://easterngarrison.blogspot.com/2024/05/72-pack-of-paint-pens.html
