| One problem is that I'm tending to go overboard with checks and things all over the place. Plain seems to have gone out of the window as far as Dacians and Gauls are concerned! |

| Any way, it's another unit of Dacian warriors finished. |
A place where Ancient Ancient armies can peacefully retire to... Possibly. Oh, and some pulp. A few things on 6mm SciFi tanks and stuff. And the toy soldiers. Especially the War of 1897... And now I seem to be starting on 20mm Napoleonics as well! email GarrisonMiniatures@gmail.com

The paint pens work really well and certainly make for colourful units, nice work on the Dacians.
ReplyDeleteThank you - they do

ReplyDeleteOne feels a certain added interest in the fate of the more colourful units, don't you think? I rather like the spectacle of that horde of Gauls and Dacians!
I have a few acrylic marker pens myself, though these have 'bullet' and 'chisel' ends - less accommodating for figures. One thing I have noticed is that they give very good coverage, even over black.
Cheers,
Ion
The yellows are very good at covering black compared to 'normal' paints.
DeleteThese look great. I am tempted to have a wee go myself…

That set of 48 cost me £12,33 from Amazon - well worth it if you accept the limitations. There are places a paintbrush will go that a paint pen just can't reach!
ReplyDeleteThe 'penwork' looks really good, and lots of checks are what's needed for Celts.
ReplyDeleteThink there's a lot more checks in the pens for the future!
