Not this year. It hasn't been cancelled yet but with gatherings over 500 expected to be banned it will go anyway...
But approaching 68 and with quite bad underlying health problems I don't think it would be a sensible option for me... so didn't book any tickets for it... and quite prepared to take the hit on cancelling hotel... which cost is written off/spent whether I go or not anyway.
Very wise I think .
ReplyDeleteI think so. Not a word I would normally associate with me but...
DeleteI don't blame you - and I'd be surprised if we don't lose most of the upcoming shows before things get back to normal.
ReplyDeleteHopefully most the trade stands don't lose out too much as people buy what they would have bought at Salute via mail order.
DeleteI think that was sound reasoning on your part, we'll get past this I'm sure it's just going to be a rough 6 moths or so.
ReplyDeleteMust admit, I get butterflies in my stomach at the thought of it... actually, I can get away with seeing very few people over the next few months if I try not-very-hard.
DeleteIt's a shame but a wise decision. My partner has lung issues and we are thinking of cancelling (tickets bought and hotel/train pre-booked). I may go for a tourist weekend instead although I believe it will be cancelled anyway... possibly travel will be at this rate!
ReplyDeleteMy own view is that there's no reason to take any chances - and be ready for the long haul. Norfolk is actually OK at the moment - at the moment, no confirmed cases, but don't know what things will be like in a few weeks.
