Christmas cancelled. And New Year.

OK, New Year was really cancelled first - our son Steven was supposed to be coming for a few weeks but he lives in Croydon - went to Tier 4, not allowed to come to us as Norfolk Tier 2... Haven't seen him for a year - Salute cancelled, Partizan cancelled, Birmingham Christmas Market cancelled...

And now Norfolk has moved to Tier 4 so our 'traditional'  four day Christmas stay at Titchwell Manor has gone...

Still, food not an issue - New Year goose comes out of the freezer for Christmas, plenty of other stuff in the freezer for New Year itself.

Thought 2019 was bad, apart from the 'incureable life threatening disease' part of 2019, 2020 seems to have been worse... a 19 week lockdown, a 4 week lockdown and then this lot...

Really looking forward to 2021...

And as a quick update - less than an hour after the government broadcast I got my ''Clinically extremely vunerable people should shield in areas of England in Tier 4" text!

    1. Thank you. I think that's the main thing - with a new version of the virus that spreads quicker then safety is more important. Plus, we were lucky in havin (and being able to afford) a Plan B lots of people out there where it is a genuine hardship rather than a disapointing inconvenience.

    1. Thanks. I intend to have a very good Xmas and New Year, just not the one originally planned... got a goose, got pudding and cake, got wine (etc), just got to cook everything myself. A bIt of snow like on your Boxing Day game would be nice instead of rain... (dykes around the house as full as I've seen them for a while).
