Not as big as some of my other armies but quite reasonable. |
Inspecting the first chariot unit... |
Second... |
And third... |
Along the line of javelins. |
The archery Corps |
And finally the cavalry |
The 2 horse chariots came with a 1 man crew - I've replaced them with a 2 man crew. |
Medium cavalry units - in blue, so could possibly substitute for Kushites. |
The EHC came part painted. 'Actual' EHC in an Indian army should be Kushans, basically a Parthian cataphract figure on a half armoured horse. Not something I'm going to quibble about! |
These elephants show the flesh tones issue - figures all came ready painted though I painted the elephants. |
Fantastic pictures Rob - a stunning collection

ReplyDeleteMagnificent Army! Btw what rules will you be using?
ReplyDeleteSolo, so don't have to be pedantic about rules. Factors, basing and movement tend to be based on DBA but I do sometimes have figures as Superior/Inferior. Again, being solo I don't use alternative moves - I rarely argue with myself on how it works out. I also allow Bows to act as ranged weapons rather than needing to be in contact - if the bows 'lose' the 'melee' they simply ignore the result.
DeleteA lovely collection Rob. Im very envious of all those lovely vintage figures on show, well done.

DeleteA wonderful collection!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteA nice collection and army. Looks just over double the size of my Classical Indian army.
ReplyDeleteI'm tending to look at it as 2 separate armies in many ways.
