Ethereal jellyfish and a monolith

Continuing the Admins thread.

Probably going to do a load more jellyfish, might even do a couple more monoliths

Not sure what you call the body of a jellyfish - umbrella sounds right. Anyway, needs to be a chaotic colour scheme - not sure how well it achieves that.

Plain black monolith. Bit smaller than I would like but should do the job. Might do some of these in a more standard grey.

  1. It's a fascinating range - do you have the AD79 Ent?

    1. I've got a number of Entish types so would assume the answer is 'yes'. Haven't checked which is which.

    2. A lovely 1970s style figure! It reminds me a bit of the strange fantasy range that Jack Scruby produced

    3. I don't have any information about the Admins range earlier than the 90s - I vaguely recall being told that Steve Thompson may have designed some of them and they were in the SKT catalogue. The Scruby range seems to have been better designed overall than the average Admins figure.

  2. A lovely...‘Smack’ of jellyfish...
Yes of course I looked it up 😂
I like the colour/ colours it reminds me a bit of when you used mix all of your shades of Plasticine together...

    All the best. Aly

    1. So that made me look up the right name for the body - just came up with it being called the bell!

  3. Charming jellyfish! I made a monolith out of deodorant scrap packaging - it was great fun. https://poundstoreplasticwarriors.wordpress.com/2020/11/25/menhirs-on-the-cheap-at-much-flocking-on-the-henge/

    1. Keep thinking about making a full henge someday - only, it would be a treehenge rather than stone. Mainly because that's what we've got around here.
https://www.explorenorfolkuk.co.uk/seahenge.html - it looked pretty good when it was still on the beach. Must dig up some of my photos of it...
