They're not all the same! |
The majority are like this. Standard Airfix Patton tank. |
One still seems to be a Patton judging by the mg turret. But it's completely different. I assume an earlier version though the road wheels are detailed better. |
Finally, one with a Patton turret on a Centurion body. |
No matter - these are due for an even cruder paint job and, as generic NME tanks, the oddities could simply be different versions or something.
I recognise the hull of the early Patton with its forward sitting turret. I had one as a boy with yet another different turret, based more on the M47 Patton. I'd guess this is an intermediate version, with an M48 style turret.
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking - why can't ranges be simpler :)
DeleteFound a picture of the earlier (earliest?) Patton

From the price, perhaps a bit of a collectors item.
That's the right body for the one I've got but different turret!
DeleteI really like the subtle differences across these tanks…
ReplyDeleteIt’s like a flashback to the inter war period…
All the best. Aly
That would certainly fit with the fluid nature of time in the Newhaven universe.
DeleteCould be experimental versions with experimental weapons, given the setting....
ReplyDeleteOr simply different types - NME may be using older or a few newer models in mixed formations.
