Hussars based on figures on the Kronoskaf website.

Couldn't decide which ones to do so I did 1 squadron each based on 3 different regiments... |

5th Regiment, Ruesch hussars. Never really know how to do all black - not obvious here but the dolman and pelisse and have been painted Panzer Grey with the fittings and saddlecloth black. |
That finishes the cavalry. Next, a unit of fusiliers - already started - then another gun crew and that will complete the basic army. I might add another unit of musketeers and a second unit of fusiliers, but that's just a tentative thought - may start either a French or Russian army next (Russians will be 'paint conversions') Or I might get back on track and start the Byzantines...
I do like these figures, and your colourful presentation. My own 'Prussian' Hussars - actually Altmark-Uberheim - are derived from the 4th (White) and 5th (Black) Hussars. The 5th (still called von Ruesch) are actually Airfix Napoleonic, but the 4th (Puttkamer) are Revell (and have been half-way through their paint job for years and years, dilettante that I am). One thing about Imagi-Nations: one does not overmuch worry over mixing manufactures!
ReplyDeleteCheers,

Extreme accuracy for the sake of it is a concept I abandoned years ago - and as for manufacturer I tend to stick with one :)
DeleteCan't beat some dashing Hussars and this lot look very dashing indeed, lovely figures, they look great.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteNo.5 Reusch every time for me, nothing says Prussian Hussar more than a black uniform - your use of panzer grey for a bit of tonal variation works very well.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. The 'original' has a band of sort of buff breaches and black stockings...I just had to do it all black!
DeleteDazzling, as Hussars should be.
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteLovely looking hussars Rob…
ReplyDeleteClassic Garrison figures indeed…
All the best. Aly
