A place where Ancient Ancient armies can peacefully retire to...
Possibly.
Oh, and some pulp. A few things on 6mm SciFi tanks and stuff. And the toy soldiers. Especially the War of 1897... And now I seem to be starting on 20mm Napoleonics as well!

Still painting Japanese...
Just, slowly.
Having found all those others I made the mistake of adding the new batch to the ones I'm already working on then... pretty much stopped.
You can do it! I was amazed when you painted all those hoplites. These chaps are a walk in the park in comparison. Btw I reckon your style of painting is just the job, I.m afraid a lot of time is spent painting details which are really only visible if you pick the figure up, and examine it. From across the table at a range of 2 to 4 ft. what do you actually see? Green.Grey.Brown.
Thank you. I would say 'nearly there' but I've found another 20 odd of the things that have been uncoated and will get their first coating of Vallejo Japanese Unif. WWII this evening...
It's a matter of 'fit for purpose' - and these are fit for purpose when painted to a 'lower' standard - it works and looks OK - That's all I ask for... my son Steven is currently doing some super detailed 15mm WW2 Russians - taking him ages. I'd post pictures but, as he says, photographs don't really show the full effect.
It will keep you out of trouble Rob…😁
ReplyDeleteAll the best. Aly
That's the problem... need to spend more time on painting, and playing, and lkots of things. Instead I seem to be chopping down trees a lot!

ReplyDeleteUsually is. One of these days I'm going to just go for a few short term things with a definite end point.
