Not sure when I'll get this game finished - visit to the hospital on Wednesday and it involves being rendered unconcious! So not sure when I'll be recovered. (Don't ask. It's a Urology thing...) Meanwhile, Blogger being a pain and I've started to have issues replying to blogs again - keeps asking me to sign into Goggle, (I am), then click on the link and it does nothing!
Anyway. The game. The game will have a provisional title of 'Somewhere in Europe' but I thought I'd start with scouting parties meeting up first.
Chasseurs a Cheval versus Hussars. Straightforward encounter between equal forces to see who gets to initially control the battlefield! |
Well, that was short and sweet! |
So took it as first rank of Chasseurs dead, rest make a tactical withdrawal in route mode. |
So I'm giving the Prussians a couple of free moves to get their forces set up.
All the best with your forthcoming procedure.
ReplyDeleteBlogger is doing the same thing to me on most blogs.
Skirmish looks fun, what rules will you use?
Alan, Tradgardland
Thanks.
DeleteUsual DBA with enough modifications to effectively be a new set of rules! Generally works for me.
Blogger seems to randomly pick who to annoy...I have had NO issues for months, but the appearance of the "anonymous " tag on many blogs....sometimes even including replies from the blogs author, are testament to the latest hassles many are experiencing! Nice start to another game, fingers crossed you get it finished before the hospital visit.
ReplyDeleteIt is a pain. If I had managed toi comment on yours, would have said 'Like the game - figures better painted than mine, nice story and terrain'. I'll try again at a later date!
DeleteHave you tried the anonymous route? (You could add a name or initial to make it look legit...)
ReplyDeleteMay you roll like Prussian Hussars, or better, when at the hospital.
If I can get it to anonymous, I can usually get Rob Young like my first reply above. Sometimes I get to the Rob Young and it still gets published as Anon. Where I can't do anything is when it says 'to sign in with Goggle click on the link', click on the link and it just refreshes the original page! It's just so unpredictable.
DeleteNice and shiny Rob.
ReplyDeleteI hope all goes well tomorrow…
I suppose it makes a change from going to the pub to be rendered unconscious…
All the best. Aly
Always liked shiny. Adds to the toyiness of things.
