The retreat is covered by a Protector driving in reverse as the other Protector carries the body of the dead Captain. |
The Master Bot advances to cut off the white Daleks... |
Dalek firepower overwhelms him... |
And he falls, partially blocking the corridor. |
Meanwhile the crew continue their retreat, the Protector destroying one of the pursurers. |
While the Daleks continue their pursuit. |
The main party arrives at the main corridor just as the first white Dalek forces it's way past the fallen Master Bot |
The lead Protector drops the dead captain and forces it's way into combat with the white Daleks, blocking them. It falls to concentrated fire from the Daleks. |
Meanwhile the other Protector blocks the doorway as it also falls... |
As the crew make their escape carrying the body of the Captain. |
As a point of interest this is another game that took on a life of it's own - I hadn't considered the blocking defence until I placed the first white Dalek! Then it seemed obvious... Likewise, the simple graphic representation of weapons fire wasn't something I'd thought of before the game - then again it just seemed to be the right thing to do.
Cracking looking game, nice how the game evolved with a life of it's own, looked like it was good fun, which is all you can ever ask for. The robots look the part and fit in really well plus what's not to like when Daleks are involved!
ReplyDeleteSometimes they work, sometimes not. This one worked and yes, it was fun!
DeleteThat looked fun, a sort of sci-fi D'n'D.
ReplyDeleteNot sure how I would describe it. One thing I liked about it is that it did take on a life of it's own; simple premise - set it up and see what happens. After that, I almost felt like an observer rather than a participant and that made it seem less artificial - that seems to be the problem with some solo games.
DeleteSplendid…It nice when the scenario takes on a life of its own.
ReplyDeleteAll the best. Aly
Very nice!
