I've previously mentioned
Langley Models and finally went out and bought a few of them.
So, this is what they look like:
Quite nice figures, unbased but the pin on one foot makes them easy to attach to a 15mm round mdf base - simply drill hole, push figure in and snip off excess. |
Being 1/76th, didn't think they would suit the stuff I've got for Newhaven or St Norman's - so concentrated on peripheral themes such as naval. |
Likewise, hunting types that don't involve much in the way of buildings. |
Comparison with 25mm and 28mm figures. Not really compatible. |
This is where they shine - facing the 'big' monsters. Much more impressive than using the 28mm figures for this. |
Or here. |
One strange piece of trivia. There's a toy/model shop in Norwich called Langleys. Strangely, they don't stock Langley Models figures, but they do stock Vallejo paints and I buy quite a few from there... so my Langley models have been mostly painted using paints from Langleys, just nothing to do with each other!
