The extent of the rift finally stabilised. Inside, more creatures appeared as a whole new world started to develop... |
Not a pleasant place - more jellies appeared to prey on the other species.
As did the plant form. |
Sometimes the ethereals won and ate their prey. |
But these creatures had evolved with the ethereals. Sometimes the ethereals lost and collapsed to slime. |
But winning one battle wasn't always enough. |
While outside the zone the authorities could just watch and wait... |
So no fishmen? Nice looking game there!
ReplyDeleteFishmen would be from the sea rather than another dimension, but I suppose it was an option. Plenty of time for them in the future.
DeleteThis reminds ne a bit of my veggie plot and the edge of the woods. Downright eerie how the weeds seem to crawl and stretch vast (relatively) distances and swallow anything in their past. Sometimes the swallowed objects can be rescued if prompt action is taking.
ReplyDeleteTG for the snow in the yard but....Summer is comming!
Note: why is it that spell checkers argue with everything I type except blog comments!
DeleteKnow the feeling about weeds. Brambles seem to be able to grow 18" a day, when twined through bushes to arch over paths and mixed with nettles... a two week holiday equals a worse jungle than above... and probably stings and rips you apart more as well!
