As previously mentioned, looking a bit the worse for wear. I like the original paint scheme. |
A place where Ancient Ancient armies can peacefully retire to... Possibly. Oh, and some pulp. A few things on 6mm SciFi tanks and stuff. And the toy soldiers. Especially the War of 1897... And now I seem to be starting on 20mm Napoleonics as well! email GarrisonMiniatures@gmail.com

I rather like these. I think the mounted Roman officer that was passed to me with various other figs may be from this range. Always wondered. On foot the rider would be about a slim 22mm-ish size.
ReplyDelete(Now I wonder if I can find him again to take a picture)
These ones would be about 26mm. Smaller size could fit the JohnBee range though https://parumpugna.blogspot.com/2013/01/jonbeezantines.html
DeleteOh yeah, These look like 1st cousins to the Roman officer and auxiliary cavalryman I have. At least I think I still have the officer, somewhere...
DeleteInteresting as always - they must have been brutes to cast - all that metal through four narrow legs! Good luck with the spears - I seem to spend about as long replacing spears as I do painting - although always try to 'preserve' rather than replace where possible. Those 'kontos' do look pretty chunky though!
ReplyDeleteDo you know if anyone maintains Harry's old blog? It's just that it would be so useful to have the 'labels' widget activated if possible.
I haven't heard from Harry for years. I look up his blog every now and then and it seems to be attracting some spam postings so I doubt if he's looked at it for a long time.
DeleteNo worries - thanks Rob.
