Eye update

So been to the eye clinic and they've said I need both eyes doing!

Basically, eyes done a week apart early May, 4-5 weeks for them to settle down, then I will need a new eye test. Allow a week or so for glasses to be delivered, means May and June could be fun. Doubt I'll be doing much painting then.

  1. Well if you can't paint, you should have some games, that shouldn't tax the eyes too much.
    Good luck!

  3. Good luck .... Planning, playing, buying and casting will make those weeks fly by.

  5. Excellent - here's to a bright, clear and in-focus future - meanwhile there's always audio books!

    1. New lenses are NHS optimised for distance so I'll still need glasses for close up work - non-NHS lenses that are suitable for both cost about £6-7,000 each, I can live with glasses!

YouTube is a very useful resourse.

    1. I've always got plenty of projects. Can't pretend that I really plan them though - they always seem to take on a life of their own!

  8. When my old dad has both his cataracts done he said that his vision improved immensely, so hopefully it will be the same for you.

    1. Hope so, though only for longer range - will still need glasses for painting, may still need glasses for driving as well - off the shelf 'closest fit' lenses, cost £6-7,000 per eye if I wanted (could afford) made to measure eyes suitable for both close and distance work.
