Three different small units! I'm using them as 2 x 3Bw and 2 x 5Hd. |
|
Only had five of these so calling them 3Bw rather than using them as 4Bw. It means I've got one spare lying around. The standard bearer animal skin gets used for a number of different creatures - yellow ochre with spots a leopard, without spots lioness, grey it's a wolfhead, brown and it's a bear! |

The boots make these Paphlagonian. Helmet should be plaited, either wicker or leather; I've just painted them as red leather. There should be 7 to a base but 5Hd is 'allowed' in DBM and I didn't want to give these units an officer and standard bearer. |

No real identifying characeristics here; could be Mysians, Moschi, Tibareni, Mares or Colchians... etc! |
These figures look better on the ground than they do in the photos. Again, figures in this range aren't bad...
I like them, they make nice handy units. I am enjoying seeing you work through this collection, great stuff!
ReplyDeleteObviously no cavalry, but could be useful in DBA sized encounters with a bit of Garrison help. I actually have a Warrior DBA army lying around that technically belongs to Steven, though that has Minifigs cavalry and Britains elephants, plus some Greeks so would be a definite possibility.
DeleteLovely shiny happy people, sorry soldiers.

Thank you. They do seem to be happier following their years of neglect though, as yet, none of them have thanked Tin soldiers are a quiet breed.
DeleteLovely Rob, well done.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
