Impulse buy - Gormenghast
Not really an impulse buy - been on my 'must get' list for years - the impulse bit is that I just decided to make it 'now'. Found a cheap second hand copy on ebay and bought it.
There have been radio and TV adaptions - false memories say I saw a TV version before it was actually made, but the central idea has interested me for decades!
Yes there was a BBC adaption that sadly failed to capture the craziness of the setting - once you start reading you will see why it has not been successfully adapted.
Strange book, very intriguing

I'll see how I go with it. My initial intention is to see how the first book of the Trilogy goes.
