These guys seem to have been very active in the last week or so... I assume they are flying down from Mildenhall to the Wash ranges for practice? Again, assuming they are American rather than British, didn't know any bases near by operated them, either British or American.
See those almost daily but, then I live about four miles from the west gate of Fort Hood Texas so that figures :-)
ReplyDeleteWe tend to get various types of aircraft in small numbers.... best one is when there's a display on and the Battle of Britain flight flies over - Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster. I remember the run up to one of the Gulf Wars - suddenly had loads of aircraft flying over in desert colours!
DeleteWhen Bush was president there were two fully loaded F16s here on an (Army) airfield (not the norm) but they were continuously up when he was here at his ranch at Crawford about 30 miles from here. Have to say though the most unusual aircraft I've seen here was two air force Ospreys (darker Gray)that was last year .
DeleteThe Osprey is one I've never seen. Mind you, don't think there's many of them in East Anglia. To be fair, I have seen the bird, but don't think that counts here :)
