The army is still building but it's grown large enough to justify a Review...

The King reviewing his forces. |
|
Here passing in front of the Scythian mercenaries. |
|
A quick look at the LMI unit acting as a flank guard. |

Driving down between the chariots and the line infantry |

Before finally passing in front of the line cavalry |
My definition of a force that warrants a review is that it is big enough for the king/general to need to pass between the ranks. Here, a light infantry front rank, chariot second rank and line infantry/cavalry rear rank.
A splendid review, what a super looking army, really colourful and very worthy of the Kings review,
ReplyDeleteThank you. Chariots didn't all pass muster and have been sent back to the depot to be refurbished using new technology.
DeleteI can almost hear the rumble of the chariots. and the thud of marching feet, terrific work.

Thank you. Quite possible the Minifigs Egyptians will be seeing action against them at some time.
DeleteWell worth a parade! Their neighbours are doubtless getting worried.
ReplyDeleteIf they join my Garrison 20mm Assyrians, Minifigs and Lamming figures - very worried.
DeleteOne day, in the far, far, future, I too will have a fully painted army posed for review...! ;-) I am reminded of the Princess Elizabeth (as a teenager): "One day I will have a bicycle." (While watching folk on bicycles from the gardens of Buckingham Palace, or so the story goes.)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing it!
DeleteWhat a great looking army! Methinks I might have to get a set of paint pens...
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Ion
Assyrians are looking pretty formidable now.
ReplyDeleteGetting that way. Needs a few more units.
