Assyrian army

Thursday 7 February 2019

An uneasy calm...

It was a quite day in Newhaven... minor bug problem on the roof but... then, a desperate call for help from an isolated farm... a call that ended... suddenly...

A patrol car is dispatched...

And enters the yard of the farm...

Open door, no one in the house...

Family car still there...

Empty stables, no sign of the horses...

Where are the cattle grazing on the salt meadows?

Nothing in the fields...

So what on Earth is happening?

Meanwhile, as dusk falls, a sea mist gradually edges up the mudflats...

    1. It's an idea to try and give an impression of low visibility - not useful as such in 'combat' situations, but I am going to try a 'cut-out' version where the centre of the cut-out is the limit of each character's visibility.

    1. The farm buildings are a lot brighter than Sarissa offerings so not sure whether I should do a wash on the walls - that should increase the eerieness effect but not sure if it's worth the time.

    1. Thanks. Not really 'grim' enough but nice to know it works.
