We also has a look at both Trajan's Column and the Column of Aurelius. Aurelian's Column was pretty much a dead loss photo wise - badly eroded and poor angles anyway. However, got a few decent photos of Trajan's Column. Depicting his Dacian War it includes full details of the campaign, including the Danube Fleet and Romans with customised arm defences.
Trajan's Column itself is pretty well photographed on the internet so I haven't bothered with loads of close ups ...
Items still to be covered are a military museum/display in Barcelona and some Spanish Patrol Ships in Cartegna Naval Base.
Rob, I am really enjoying your Rome photos! Rome is a city I never tire (or haven't yet!) of visiting.
ReplyDeletePerhaps I'll try and sort out more of them. Today I've sorted out a museum, then it's the Spanish navy, then probably post about the most ridiculous series of items from it!
