Complaining loudly seems to be working...

A quick recap...

Sorting out the Admins Range I realised some figures were only on 12" moulds so I couldn't cast them.So I sent a couple of moulds to Pete Brown so he could cast a couple of figures. Sending them back to me I would then sort them and have moulds made of the relevant figures. They've just reached Nottingham...

Two things to note. 24hr Tracking, even with the curent disruption. Secondly, yesterday I complained on the phone to the Post Office national customer centre - you can't talk to the Sheffied MC directly. I was told that they had a massive backlog and would have to simply wait in the queue - there was nothing that could be done. Next thing I did was go on to the Sheffield site and gave them the worst review I could - explaining exactly why they were geting it.

Suddenly, a second 'Item received Sheffield MC ' tracking note appeared. Next day it was sddenly in Nottingham...

I'll keep you posted as to when it arrives...

And yes, it has exceeded the time limit to apply for compensation, and yes, once they finally arrive I will be applying...

First update...

Due to be delivered today...

And moulds have arrived!

  1. Must say down my way post has been good, same as usual. The posties are sorting in the street, in all weathers, it seems Royal Mail have sold a lot of sorting offices for housing development. And they won't pay the Post Office to rent space indoors to do the sorting! Post Office are separate business to Royal Mail. It was the Post Office accused staff of stealing, and were then proved incorrect. Have contacted my zM.zP. The posture even have to store the trolleys at home!

    1. We have a pretty good postie. It's when it leaves his hands the problems start... like, for 24 hour delivery, even in 'normal' times, would 24 hours be possible for a parcel if it has to go through 5 separate depots? - after Nottingham it also went to the Glaisdale Parkway DO!

  2. Lol...I work for a courier company here in NZ, so I can see both sides. With increasing volumes in the Jean up to Christmas, plus a mini spike in staff absence due to Covid, we have similar issues....I just resolved one for a customer spending $1.6m with us that involved collecting an item on approx 11 Nov and delivering it IN THE SAME SUBURB on 7 Dec! Honestly, as the crow flies, it would only have travelled about 2km!
On the other hand, I just had some SCW reinforcements arrive ...sent from Spain on 22 Nov arrived in NZ 7 Dec....that's pretty good for pre Covid, non Christmas times, so I was very happy!

    1. That would be lead up to Christmas...also forgot to add, it's virtually impossible to hire extra staff for any role in this country at the moment, we effectively have full employment and very few overseas workers are being admitted...we have shortages everywhere...health, hospitality, tourism , IT.....the list goes on....

    2. I think the two things that got me is that 5 separate depots the parcel went through and that it was sitting in one of those depots for so long! Of 4 parcels sent by 24hr tracked, 1 was delivered on time, 1 took 4 days, 1 took 8 and then there was this one taking 11 days.
